Worried about brain health as you and your loved ones age? This Douglas Park Community Centre program is for YOU.
Dementia is NOT an inevitable part of aging! Lifestyle, including diet, have a big impact in increasing or decreasing our risk of developing Alzheimer’s disease.
This program consists of 4 Thursday evenings in October. We’ll combine a review of the scientific evidence on dementia prevention with the discovery of delicious plant-based dishes you can easily make at home. There’ll be time for hands-on cooking practice!
To learn more and register: Vancouver Recreation
Course instructor: Brigitte Gemme, Ph.D. (Educational Studies, UBC) and Certificates in Plant-Based Nutrition (University of Guelph; University of Winchester UK).
Sounds very interesting.
I hope to see you there!
It makes me happy to see this being offered at my neighborhood community center. I hope you get lots of people. (I’m already eating WFPB and I love it.)
Please tell all your friends about it! Currently I’m not sure there will be enough registrations to make it happen. 🙏
I like the idea of working on brain health
I was diagnosed with dementia two years ago, and yet I still read, write and mark / edit academic papers. The only problem I experience is sleepiness.
Thank you for dropping by Marcia. It must be a very challenging time but I’m so glad you are still able to work in a way that feels meaningful. I hope you can make it to the workshop! It would be great to have you there.
Can you do zoom
This program is in person but I am hoping to do an online version later – I will post updates on my newsletter when I know when. You can subscribe here (unsubscribe anytime): https://veganfamilykitchen.com/blog/
