Enough with the hyper consumerism: can we bask in an extra day gratitude and appreciate everything we have, please?

Let’s stir some mindfulness into Black Friday. We’ll get together on Zoom and I will lead us all into cooking up a delicious soup from Thanksgiving leftovers.

Friday November 24th, 2023 (a.k.a. Black Friday)

What are we going to do:

  • Enjoy a moment of mindfulness to appreciate everything we have to be nourished
  • Gather leftovers we can use to make delicious soup
  • Cook up the soup!
  • You can ask all your questions about plant-based cooking and nutrition – I’ll do my best to guide you to answers!

Come prepared to cook with me! You can also just watch, but if you cook you’ll be so glad you did.

(Only plant foods please, and kindly refrain from asking for advice for repurposing turkey or other animal-based leftovers, if you have any to deal with.)

This event is inspired by Plum Village’s “Make Black Friday Brown: Online Event to Resist Consumerism” and I encourage you to attend that also. The Plum Village event is in the morning, so you can easily do both for an extra mindful day. 🙂
